Zeptix Abbies

About

Two workshops. One standard.

Zeptix Abbies started in 2019 when our founder — frustrated with collars that frayed in six months and beds that flattened by year two — drove to a saddlery in Asheville and asked if they’d make pet goods using the same bridle leather they used for tack. They said yes.

Today we work with two small workshops: that same saddlery in Asheville, and a textiles studio in the Hudson Valley that makes our beds, blankets, and harness webbing. Both are family-run. Both have been at it for more than thirty years.

Treats come from a small bakery contract in Lancaster County — single-source ingredients, baked weekly, shipped the same week.

“We don’t believe in stocking warehouses with pet goods made overseas. Everything you order from us is made by someone whose name we know.”

Why we don’t drop-ship

Dropshipped pet goods is a $4B problem. Cheap nylon dyed with industrial dye. Hardware coated to look like brass that flakes in a year. Treats with thirty-letter preservative names. We won’t carry any of it.

Every order is made-to-order — meaning we don’t pull a finished collar off a shelf. The workshop receives your order, cuts the leather, sets the hardware, and ships it directly from their floor. Lead times run 5–9 business days. We don’t apologize for that.

Where we are

Our studio is in Wilmington, Delaware. Customer support runs out of there. Orders ship from the workshop that made them — Asheville (collars, leashes, harnesses, leads) or Hudson Valley (beds, blankets, soft goods, toys). Treats ship from Lancaster.
